I’ve just gotta say that I keep hearing Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel” song all the time on the radio and I can’t get over the bad advice it gives. All I’m saying is that if you ever hit a sheet of black ice, don’t let go of the wheel. I don’t care how religious you are, Jesus does not suddenly grab your steering wheel when you let go of it. I know because I’ve let go of the wheel a number of time to test that out. Even the pope in his pope mobile on black ice wouldn’t throw up his hands and be like, “Hey, Why don’t you take this one?” especially not if he had a baby in the back seat. Sure I know the larger message of the song, but everytime I hear her hitting a sheet of ice and her letting go of the wheel, I keep thinking man she should have stayed in Driver’s Ed a little bit longer. »
