The political junkies on both sides may itching for a climactic fight, but I suspect most Americans would be happy to have a little less sturm und drang in their lives; they’re more worried about their own personal travails (debt, health costs, retirement funds, etc) than they are about Bush’s legacy and Al Franken’s rhetoric.
